We do not have an annual fee or any other “hidden” fees (such as card fees, convenience fees, or processing fees). All you pay is your one time joining fee and your monthly dues. We strive to make joining Zip Fitness as simple and easy as possible – no tricks or gimmicks!

With Zip Gold, you get unlimited access to all Zip facilities, free daily HydroMassage and Wellbeats Group Exercise classes, daily free tanning, a free guest pass every visit, a Zip Fitness water bottle and t-shirt for only $24.99 a month!

We don’t offer a monthly cash membership plan. Instead, we automatically bill your credit/debit card or automatically draft your checking/savings account for your monthly dues. This simplifies our operation and lets us keep our membership fees low. For members that prefer not to be automatically billed, we offer a prepaid annual membership for cash.

We believe in making fitness a hassle free experience. To cancel your membership, all you need to do is come into the store and fill our our short cancellation form. If you cancel your membership before the 15th of the month, your membership will be terminated at the end of that month. If you cancel your membership after the 15th of the month, your membership will be terminated at the end of the next month (and you will have one more monthly payment to make). There are NO cancellation fees. If you cancel now and re-join later, you would have to pay the joining fee.

Zip Fitness offers large facilities with tons of cardio and strength equipment, so you will almost never have to wait to use equipment. Our busiest times of the day are usually 5pm to 7pm from Monday through Wednesday, and January is usually the busiest month of the year.

Zip Gold members can bring one guest free of charge with each visit to the facility. The guest may be the same person each visit or you can mix it up! In addition, anyone can buy a one-day guest pass for $7.

Daily tanning is included with our Zip Gold membership. All you need to do is stop by the front desk to sign in. Gold Members must be 18 years old to tan. We do not offer tanning on a pay-per-use basis.

The minimum age is 15, regardless of parental consent.

In order to keep our membership rates low, we do not offer childcare.

Most of our facilities do not offer group exercise classes.

We do offer group exercise classes at our Round Lake Beach, IL facility through an innovative new system called Fitness on Request that offers over 50 different group exercise classes on demand. The Zip Gold Membership provides unlimited group fitness classes. Other members can pay by the class.

Yes – Zip Fitness is a proud participant in the Silver Sneakers and Prime programs. These programs provide insurance reimbursement for fitness club expenses. If you don’t know if you are eligible to participate, contact your insurance provider today!
